ABOUT US

NAA (National Autism Association) of Central Texas is a non-profit organization of parents, caregivers and professionals, empowered by our desire to help families with children who have received the diagnosis of Autism or related disorders. We offer an expansive support network where families can meet each other and discuss issues surrounding autism and evidence-based treatment options. One of the primary goals of NAA of Central Texas is to provide free and low-cost seminars and accessible current information and training on ABA and evidence-based Biomedical Intervention for families in the Central Texas area.

MISSION

The mission of the National Autism Association is to educate and empower families affected by autism and other neurological disorders, while advocating on behalf of those who cannot fight for their own rights. We will educate society that autism is not a lifelong incurable genetic disorder but one that is biomedically definable and treatable. We will raise public and professional awareness of environmental toxins as causative factors in neurological damage that often results in an autism or related diagnosis. We will encourage those in the autism community to never give up in their search to help their loved ones reach their full potential, funding efforts toward this end through appropriate research for finding a cure for the neurological damage from which so many affected by autism suffer.
NAA of Central Texas has a parent-run Board of Directors that meets monthly to discuss issues, establish priorities, and vote on the direction of the organization. We also have an Advisory Board of professionals that provide our free and low-cost seminars. Without their guidance, NAA of Central Texas would not be the valuable community resource that it is. We will support and advocate for the Central Texas autism community from prenatal health to adult services for autism and never lose sight of the goal of lifelong dignity and fulfillment for our children, whether cured, recovered, or otherwise.
