What does NAA of Central Texas do and how are we different?
The mission of the National Autism Association is to educate and empower families affected by autism and other neurological disorders, while advocating on behalf of those who cannot fight for their own rights. We will educate society that autism does not need to be a lifelong incurable disorder but one that is biomedically definable and both medically and behaviorally treatable. We are a non-profit organization of parents, caregivers and concerned professionals dedicated to providing Education, Advocacy and Support to families and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities. We support and bring scientifically based information and grants to families in the central Texas in areas such as :

Kendal Stewart, MD & Lisa Hunter Ryden : The Parent and Physician Partnership for Healing our Children. This will be the first radio show to feature the parent and physician team approach to healing and recovery of an autistic child. Dr. Stewart and Lisa will discuss the importance of integrating a Coordinated Care Model, which uses evidence based medical treatments, a parent and professional team approach, and open communication as a means of recovering a child from autism.

Bikers will get their bikes ready and raise money to provide family counseling, scholarships, and training for families with children with autism. The ride will start at Woods Fun Center at Braker & I35 and end at Hanovers in downtown Pflugerville with great food, refreshment, music with Red Alert, and games. 512-656-6099
